Izi Konstantina

Autumn/Winter 2013-14

Looking to the old world of ancient Greece, the weathered pillars of the Acropolis and the crumbling Aphrodite de Milo, stand resilient. Captivating with their dual strength and fragility, they epitomize an everlasting, classical beauty.

This collection explores the form, referencing columns and sculpture, through body conscious silhouettes.  In contrast, blouses and outerwear are predominantly drapey, taking a cue from ancient Greek techniques.  Layering falls freely on the body, and is casually belted, to accentuate the natural waistline.

An autumn inspired color paleate comprised of mustard yellow, rusty orange, bright fuchsia, shades of purple and green, in addition to black.
